MANHATTAN, Kan. – (January 21, 2013) CivicPlus, the leading developer of government websites and online community engagement systems, is excited to announce the winners of the 2012 “Extreme Website Makeover” contest. The contest, now in its 10th year, encourages cities and counties to submit their reasons for the need for a local government website redesign.
Winners were picked from a list of 161 finalists by a distinguished CivicPlus “Extreme Website Makeover” committee, who evaluated the necessity, and engagement of each entry. Each winning community was selected based on their performance in a finalist interview and on how well they digitally engaged their community in campaigning for the new website. The winning communities will receive a free Premium CivicPlus site, custom design and, full development. Three days training will be provided at no cost and two years of annual fees will be waived.

The contest award offers CivicPlus software solutions to each winning city that will enable successful communication strategies to increase the community’s engagement, efficiencies and technology. By designing these website makeovers, CivicPlus is developing and providing local communities and governments methods of communication.
