Challenge:

An integrated website and legislative management system

Solution:

Result:

Implement a CivicPlus Municipal Website and Agenda and Meeting Management software to integrate with its Municode Codification services

CivicPlus®, formerly Municode, and Fayetteville, Georgia’s, relationship dates to 1975, when Municode only offered Codification services. In the 34 years since Municode expanded its suite of options to better provide for municipalities. Fayetteville became interested in its Agenda and Meeting Management solution after learning it seamlessly integrates with its Municipal Website. Before Fayetteville added Agenda and Meeting Management to its software stack, City staff wanted to simplify its meeting processes and procedures. Its old method was tedious, lengthy, and in many circumstances, staff members were scrambling in the moments before a meeting to complete the necessary agenda packets.

Fayetteville implemented CivicPlus’ Agenda and Meeting Management software to address these process issues. Now, the City’s meeting process is simplified with automated workflows and a Microsoft Word-based system. Staff can easily create and complete agendas, even up until the last minute. CivicPlus Agenda and Meeting Management also integrates into the City’s website, allowing residents to view meetings via live stream as they happen, or they can view the minutes.

Outcomes

  • Staff save time and money, resulting in a better, more fluent meeting and agenda process
  • Residents have 24/7 access to previous meeting agendas and minutes, increasing transparency
  • Staff and the community have access to the municipal code on any device, 24/7
