Online Job Application
The Online Jobs Application (OJA) is integrated with the Job Postings module and allows web users to create a profile to apply for employment. Once the web user's profile is created, the information they entered (employment history, education, etc.) is saved and they can easily apply for multiple open positions.

| Potential Enhancements |
| + The application is not customized - it requires custom development in order to alter the appearance of the application (additional fee). We have built the generic application to represent the most common information requested on government applications.However, the PDF version of the completed application CAN be customized. |
| + There is no applicant-tracking functionality that allows communication with applicants through the site: The OJA is not meant to be a full-fledged applicant tracking system; it is only a profile-builder and method to receive applications. After the applicant data is received, the applications must be managed with your existing system(s). Information can be exported manually and automatically. |
| + The system is not integrated with my human resources system: Most HR systems can import data that is collected elsewhere. Our OJA allows the data to be exported in a tab-delimited format, which can then be imported into many other systems. Some of our clients have worked with us to set up automatic exports of the data on a regular basis (the data is then automatically imported through setup with their HR systems). |
| + The data is not archived: We did not set these up to be archived since it is a free system to automate employment applications, not replace current HR systems where these are tracked. Submitted applications can be exported manually or automatically. (CivicPlus has to set up the automatic export.) |
