A Proven Methodology

Phase 1: Needs Assessment and Timeline Development
Your Project Manager will kick off your project in the following steps:

  1. Conduct personnel interviews
  2. Formulate assessment based on interviews and work logs
  3. Report findings to web decision-makers
  4. Analyze existing website statistics (if available)
  5. Compare to other organizations of comparable size
  6. Identify the need for CivicPlus e-Government Tools and custom applications

Phase 2: Website Design and Navigation Architecture
Once your needs and objectives are established, our award-winning graphic design team will begin on the development of your custom composition including the following elements:

  • Look-and-Feel
  • Navigation Architecture
  • Dynamic Components

Phase 3: Site Development and Module Set-up
Using the approved design, our technical staff develops your website and sets up your site styles and module colors.

Phase 4: Content Development
Working simultaneously with Phase 3, our highly-trained content development team will gather your content using a series of worksheets and interviews. We will consult with you on the best ways to format your content according to established usability guidelines, but ultimately you control your content.

Phase 5: Review and Testing
Thorough quality assurance testing is provided throughout the entire process in order to ensure the finished project exceeds your expectations. Rigorous testing is performed throughout development and at the conclusion of development through these formal reviews:

  • Content Development Review
  • Pre-training Review
  • Site Review
  • Post-training Review
  • Final Quality Assurance Review

We recommend a complete review meeting with your website committee and staff prior to launch. The purpose of this review is to develop a process for your staff to continue maintenance of the website and plan for the site’s ongoing development.

Phase 6: Training
We take a hands-on, real-world approach to customer training, giving you the skills to keep your website current, relevant and at maximum usability.

Phase 7: Website Deployment
Upon completion of a joint review—by the Project Manager and you—of your website, we direct the website domain name to your new website.

Phase 8: Website Marketing
Your website is registered with Search Engines and a marketing plan is provided to you in order to ensure the continued success of your website.

Phase 9: Ongoing Support
In order to ensure 100% customer satisfaction, your Project Manager reviews the overall project with you and your Client Liaison, who will maintain communication with you throughout your partnership with CivicPlus. 

In addition, you have full access to our customer support package which includes:
