Document Center
The Document Center is for storage of current documents you would like to make available to the public, not archived documents/forms. Documents stored in the Document Center can be filed in folders and sub-folders, and linked to from various pages within your website.

Benefits
+ One-stop storage module for documents used throughout the website
+ Provide direct links to important documents or forms

Features
+ Create a structured filing system with folders and subfolders to store documents for easy access and quick replacement
+ Organize documents and files by department or division
+ Automatic update of links to a document that has been modified
+ Set documents and files to auto-publish or auto-unpublish on specific dates
+ Allows any file type (with the exception of .exe files) to be uploaded
+ Hide documents so they are not visible to the public without a direct link
+ Create PDF documents via the integrated pdf converter
+ Upload multiple files when using FireFox

Client Testimonials
"The document center is fantastic; it's not how it works necessarily, but having one spot to put all of our documents in is great. It has saved us a lot of time."

Sherry Massey, Director of Administration and Emergency Services  |  Dickinson County, KS

Examples of How This Module Can Be Used
+ Downloads of any kind, pdf registration forms, videos, city/county codes, etc.

Potential Enhancements
+ Many of our clients never make the Document Center a public part of the website -- they simply use it as a document repository and link to documents as appropriate. That being said, we understand that sometimes there is a desire to use this module in a public-facing way, and the Document Center is scheduled to receive a facelift sometime in 2011.
+ The Document Center cannot upload entire folders due to browser limitations. Internet Explorer doesn't allow folders to be uploaded; however, Firefox does have this capability.
+ If a document is moved or deleted, any links to it on the website will not change: The bad links module will help find broken document links.
