3 CivicPlus Staff Members Elected in 2017 Local Government Elections

The importance that CivicPlus places on being a part of the solution to allow municipalities to operate efficiently goes beyond its corporate values, however. CivicPlus aims to hire individuals who feel the type of personal commitment to public service that will enable them to be impactful allies for the clients they serve. For this reason, CivicPlus is proud to announce that three of its employees have been elected to local office. Mark Friesen, Marketing Director, has been re-elected to the Lindsborg City Council, Jerred McKee, Account Manager, has been elected to the Manhattan City Commission, and Katrina Lewison, Product Manager, has been elected to the USD 383 School Board.

Friesen_Headshot_Color.jpgMark Friesen – As the director of marketing at CivicPlus, Mark focuses on the citizen engagement and marketing communication trends that impact local governments. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University and has over ten years of experience in B2C and B2B marketing. This will be Mark’s second consecutive term serving the Lindsborg City Council.


 Jerred McKee_crop_300.pngJerred McKee – In his role as an account manager at CivicPlus, Jerred has served as a strategic advisor for city and county governments all over the country. His focus is on helping municipalities utilize technology solutions to be more transparent with citizens, make internal processes more efficient, and make it easier for citizens to do business municipalities. Jerred will serve a two-year term on the Manhattan City Commission.


Professional Photo_Katrina 2015.jpgKatrina Lewison – As a product manager, Katrina applies her expertise in project management,  innovation, process management, citizen engagement, and managed services to the leadership of CivicEngage®. Katrina holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Psychology and Leadership from Teacher’s College at Columbia University, and a Master of Science Degree in Public Policy Administration from the University of Missouri-St Louis. This will be Katrina’s first term of service on the Manhattan School Board.
