Power is still out in the Summit Avenue/ Pompton Avenue area of town and could be out until Sunday evening, March 4th or even later per JCP&L.  Our "Warming Center" has been closed and residents should make provisions for relocation if they care to in the event they have no power.  Our Borough has no control over the restoration process although we have been proactive in seeking restoration as quickly as possible.  Per JCP&L please prepare to be out of power at least another day or two or longer unless the situation changes.  Thank you.

Important messages and reminders for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 7th: Recycling Center closed, no paper pickup, no parking on snow covered streets until sufficiently plowed to allow for the safe passage of traffic, do not plow or throw snow into roadways, and please shovel around your fire hydrant and clear your sidewalk.  If you are still without power, please call or report the outage again to JCP&L via their website.  State of Emergency declared by Governor as of 8 PM this evening.  Please watch your local weather station for the latest storm track.  Thank you, and have a good evening
