CivicPlus to Donate $1500 to the Bensenville Foundation

CivicPlus, the leader in civic experience technology for local governments, has announced Bensenville, Illinois as the winner of its 2022 Love Where You Live contest. The months-long social media campaign asked CivicPlus followers to share their comments, photos, and stories about why they love their hometown for a chance to win a $1500 donation to the civic charity of the winner’s choice. The winning Bensenville community member selected the Bensenville Community Foundation (BCF) as their preferred donation recipient.

The BCF was founded in 1993 and is supported by the Bensenville Intergovernmental Group, which brings together the public agencies serving all Bensenville residents. Its Board of Directors comprises representatives from all area taxing bodies, including the Bensenville Community Public Library, the Bensenville Park District, the Village of Bensenville, the Bensenville Fire Protection District, Bensenville School District 2, and Fenton High School District 100.

“I’m honored that Bensenville was selected to be this year’s Love Where You Live contest winner,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. “Donations like this play a key role in allowing the Bensenville Community Foundation to continue making such an impactful difference for our residents. As a community that offers some of the best activities, programs, and resources in the area, there truly is a lot to love in Bensenville.”

2022 marked the inaugural year of CivicPlus’ Love Where You Live social media campaign to encourage user-generated content that answers the question, why do you love where you live? With topics ranging from civic engagement to holidays and from parks and recreation to restaurants, followers shared sentiments, photos, and videos that tell the story about what makes their community unique and why they’ve chosen to call it home. CivicPlus will launch year two of the campaign and open 2023 nominations in the spring of 2023.

“CivicPlus is committed to developing technology that powers local governments and empowers positive civic experiences that foster trust and appreciation by residents for local leaders,” said CivicPlus Director of Product Marketing Jennifer Elliott. “We are pleased to facilitate positive social dialogue about our unique communities and give customers and their residents a place to share their memories.”
