Taking on a website accessibility project can be overwhelming initially, but definitely schedule that introductory call sooner rather than later because the team is super helpful at explaining what different things do and the best ways to streamline your daily activities … and then, pick one bite of the cookie at a time; it’s a lot to digest, but if you just take one piece at a time it’s very doable to start figuring things out. I think what’s been the most helpful were the broken links because we had a different kind of broken link Finder, but it wasn’t finding everything that was broken.

The training that you guys have is fantastic. When I set up a session, my account manager answers all my questions, and the whole conversation is recorded. So, then I can go back if I can’t do something right at that minute when I need another refresher.

One of the Monsido modules I like is quality assurance. I think our score is great. It’s a 97 right now. This module saves time by locating broken links and issues throughout the site instead of combing through the website manually. We have a population of around 40,000 compared to other cities that are over 100,000. So, they would have many more departments than we do, but it’s still a lot of pages to comb through, regardless of the size of your municipality.

Before Monsido, we found errors manually or did not even pay attention to them. We are essentially made up of 50 different companies. So, as you can imagine, it was feasibly impossible to continue physically searching for errors ourselves. We needed a tool to help us bring those errors and issues to the top.

Monsido is very useful for doing compliance checking for us. Really, compliance is the bare minimum first rung toward inclusion. So that takes a lot of time and weight off of us, checking to make sure tagging is correct behind the scenes so that we can actually focus more on the high-touch inclusivity that we want to do here at the City.

Having everything integrated is much simpler, and having one technical support team to go to with questions instead of several is ideal. We enjoy having everything in one place.

We knew if websites were to be a source of information, that it was imperative they were readable, reliable, and accessible.
