The Children’s Trust of Alachua County, Florida, Relies on CivicPlus® for Policies and Procedures Software

The Children’s Trust of Alachua County, Florida, is a newly created trust that “funds and supports a coordinated system of community services that allows all youth and their families to thrive.” Before partnering with CivicPlus­ (formerly Municode), in its first few years of operation, the Trust’s leaders wanted to utilize a suite of industry-leading software to ensure the organization launched on a strong technical foundation.

CivicPlus provided the Trust with three solutions:

• Policies and Procedures software
• Agenda and Meeting Management software
• Website design and hosting

With the Policies and Procedures software in place, the Trust’s staff can draft and edit its policies and employee handbook digitally, significantly reducing paper costs.

The Board Policies and Employee Handbook are also made available online for anyone to access at any time. This visibility ensures the Trust remains transparent.

The addition of CivicPlus’ Agenda and Meeting Management software automates the formatting of meeting documents and streamlines in-meeting processes such as minutes and in-meeting displays. Once meetings are completed, the minutes and agendas are then effortlessly uploaded online to the Trust’s website, where meetings are integrated into the website’s search functionality. The website itself is easy to navigate with its top mega menu and quick links complete with corresponding colors and images. Scrolling reveals the Trust’s news, announcements, and Upcoming Events. On the backend, staff can create and maintain content effortlessly with a non-technical content management system (CMS). With new cutting-edge solutions, The Children’s Trust of Alachua County is able to better serve the families and children of its community.
