CivicPlus® Civic Experience Awards Frequently Asked Questions

All existing U.S.-based CivicPlus customers are eligible to be nominated. Nominations may recognize a project team, a department, or an entire government entity, including special districts.

Due to legal compliance restrictions, we regret that we cannot accept nominations from customers outside the United States.

Any government employee of a current CivicPlus customer may submit a nomination. In addition, individuals may self-nominate their team, department, government, or special district. CivicPlus employees may not submit on behalf of a customer.

A panel of judges will select gold, silver, and bronze winners from all submissions.

A panel of CivicPlus employees, previous Civic Experience Award winners, and CivicPlus partners will select the winners.

We want to hear about your innovative approaches to improving civic experiences in your community. Winning submissions will reflect programs, initiatives, or process changes that create interactions for residents that are frictionless, simplified, or personalized. In addition, highly eligible submissions will reflect quantifiable impact results that demonstrate how the initiative saved time, money, and improved staff efficiency, job satisfaction, employee engagement, or resident engagement.

No, we want to hear all ways that you are improving civic experiences, but if our solutions have helped, please share. If your submission includes a story of how our products have improved civic experiences in your community, we might contact you to discuss creating a case study about your experiences.

The nomination process will occur between May 13 and July 1, 2024.

In early August, the top ten finalists will be notified. With the help of a CivicPlus videographer, the gold, silver, and bronze winners will bring their submissions to life using video.

In mid-October, we’ll announce the winners using a multi-media press release that will include videos of the top finalists. In the press release, CivicPlus Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Rempe will announce the rank order of the winners.

The first-place winner will receive a $1,500 charitable contribution to an organization in its name and a recognition trophy. The remaining finalists will receive a $500 charitable contribution to an organization in their name and a recognition trophy.
