2024 | For the Sixth Consecutive Year, the Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service Recognizes CivicPlus 

The Stevie® Awards for Sales and Customer Service released the final standings for the 2024 Stevie® Awards. CivicPlus is excited to announce that our Technical Support, Knowledge Management, and Customer Success teams have won five Stevie® Awards.

  • Our Knowledge Management team earned a Gold Stevie® Award for the Customer Service Training Team of the Year – Internal – Technology Industries category.
  • Our Technical Support team received Silver Stevie® Awards for the Best Use of Technology in Customer Service – Computer Industries and for the Customer Service Department of the Year – Computer Software – 100 or More Employees categories.
  • Our Customer Success team earned a Bronze Stevie® Award for the Achievement in Customer Experience category.
  • Our combined Technical Support, Knowledge Management, and Customer Success teams were recognized with a Silver Stevie® Award for the Best Customer Satisfaction Strategy category.

The Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development, and sales professionals. The Stevie® Awards organizes eight of the world’s leading business awards programs, including the prestigious American Business Awards® and International Business Awards®.

2024 marks the first year that our Customer Success team is a Stevie® Award winner for its dedication to superior customer satisfaction. In 2023, the team focused on conducting over 3,000 assessment reviews, optimizing internal processes, boosting NPS scores, contributing to cross-functional initiatives, and engaging in proactive outreach and partnerships.

For the second year in a row, CivicPlus’ Knowledge Management team has been a finalist for its internal work. This past year, the team championed projects which included consolidating over 5,000 internal learning resources, developing enhanced workflows, leading 24 solution integration projects, and providing easily accessible information portals.

CivicPlus Knowledge Management Manager Morgan King shared her excitement for her team to be a finalist, “Our team has undergone monumental changes in the last couple of years as we focused on internal and external documentation. This shift has allowed us to help nearly all teams across the company to be more efficient and have the resources they need to complete their jobs and understand our customers and products more. It is an honor to receive the Stevie® Award nomination for all our hard work in helping our internal teams.

The Technical Support team’s recognition for the sixth consecutive year demonstrates its continued commitment to ensuring the highest quality customer service experiences for governments that partner with CivicPlus.

In 2019, we won a Bronze Stevie® Award for the Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries.

In 2020, we were awarded a Silver Stevie® Award for the Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries, and a Bronze Stevie® Award for the Customer Service Training or Coaching Program of the Year – Technology Industries.

In 2021, we received a Silver Stevie® Award for Customer Service Department of the Year – Computer Software – Up to 100 Employees, and two Bronze Stevie® Awards for the Most Valuable Response by a Customer Service Team (COVID-19) and for Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries.

In 2022, our teams were awarded a Gold Stevie® Award for Best Customer Satisfaction Strategy, a Silver Stevie® Award for Most Valuable Response by a Customer Service Team, and a Bronze Stevie® Award for Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries.

In 2023, our teams were honored with three prestigious Stevie® Awards. Our Knowledge Management team received their first Gold Stevie® Award in the Customer Service Training Team of the Year – Internal – Technology Industries category. [Update] We’re thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of our Technical Support and Knowledge Management teams at CivicPlus. At the Stevie® Awards for Sales and Customer Service gala on March 3, our teams were honored with three prestigious Stevie® Awards. Our Knowledge Management team received their first Gold Stevie® Award in the Customer Service Training Team of the Year – Internal – Technology Industries category. Additionally, our Technical Support team was awarded a Bronze Stevie® Award for Best Customer Satisfaction Strategy – Technology Industries, while our combined teams won another Bronze Stevie® Award for Remote Customer Service Innovation of the Year – Technology Industries. We’re incredibly proud of their dedication to providing exceptional customer service and support.

2022 | CivicPlus® Technical Support Team Wins Three Stevie® Awards, First Gold

The results are in for the 2022 annual global Stevie® Awards for Sales and Customer Service. The CivicPlus Technical Support Team received three awards, including top honors in the form of a Gold Stevie® Award in the category of Best Customer Satisfaction Strategy.

The Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development, and sales professionals. The Stevie Awards organizes eight of the world’s leading business awards programs, also including the prestigious American Business Awards® and International Business Awards®.

More than 2,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry, in 51 nations, were considered in this year’s competition. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 150 professionals worldwide on eight specialized judging committees. Entries were considered in more than 90 categories for customer service and contact center achievements, including Contact Center of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service, and Customer Service Department of the Year; more than 60 categories for sales and business development achievements, ranging from Senior Sales Executive of the Year to Sales Training or Business Development Executive of the Year to Sales Department of the Year; and categories to recognize new products and services, solution providers, and organizations’ and individuals’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic. New categories this year honor excellence in thought leadership in customer service and sales.

In addition to their 2022 Gold Stevie® Award win, the CivicPlus support team was awarded a Silver Stevie® for Most Valuable Response by a Customer Service Team and a Bronze Stevie® Award for Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries.

The three wins for the CivicPlus Technical Support team mark the fourth consecutive year that the team has been recognized, totaling nine awards in that span. In 2018, the team was awarded a Bronze Stevie® Award for the Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries category. In 2019, they were awarded the Silver Stevie® Award for the Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries, and the Bronze Stevie® Award for the Customer Service Training or Coaching Program of the Year – Technology Industries category. In 2020 the team brought home three wins—a silver and two bronze Stevie® Awards—in the categories of Customer Service Department of the Year – Computer Software – Up to 100 Employees, Most Valuable Response by a Customer Service Team (COVID-19), and Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries.

Mike Smith, CivicPlus Manager of Technical Support, had the following to say about the accomplishments of his team, noting how adaptive and dedicated they are:

Being recognized for a fourth straight year and to receive our first Gold Stevie Award for Best Customer Satisfaction Strategy is truly an honor.”


2021 | CivicPlus® Technical Support Wins Three Stevie Awards®; Receives Votes for People’s Choice Award

We are thrilled to announce that for the third consecutive year, our CivicPlus Technical Support Teams have been recognized in the 15th Annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Servicefor service excellence. The team has been named a winner of a Silver Stevie® Award for Customer Service Department of the Year – Computer Software – Up to 100 Employees, a Bronze Stevie® Award for the Most Valuable Response by a Customer Service Team (COVID-19), and a Bronze Stevie® Award for Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries. “You have done a great job of identifying what matters – in causes that you support in helping the governments – and recognition of the changing world and how to be nimble and be able to pivot to be successful. Even with the increased load, you have done a great role of partnering with customers and investing in their success. Well done!”

“CivicPlus stopped their usual business strategy and shifted their focus to their staff and customers’ needs. They listened to what their customers needed and went beyond to deliver. They had increased workload and still delivered a substantial amount of resources for customers.”

“[Theirs was a] strong nomination that demonstrates best in class service delivery for resolution, response and customer satisfaction.”

Constance Cooke, CivicPlus Technical Support Services Director, states that she could not be prouder of the Support Teams for providing such incredible and unwavering customer service when every team member was responding personally and professionally to the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis.

“In March 2020, CivicPlus closed its offices as a safety precaution in response to the COVID0-19 crisis,” said Cooke. “Our technical support engineers selflessly responded to the stay-at-home mandate without for a second compromising on their attention to client care, availability, or commitment to the greater success of the team. To be recognized for outstanding services in a year in which our staff and our clients faced so much adversity is a true testament to the quality of character of the people on this team. I am honored that we have again been recognized amongst our peers for our reputation of unbeatable service.”

Cooke adds that the Technical Support Teams’ response to the COVID-19 crisis was further bolstered by the efforts of all CivicPlus® employees who created new software functionality, ideated unique solutions for their clients, offered education and resources, and worked tirelessly to implement new solutions. She adds that the work is not done, as CivicPlus continues to support its clients in communicating about vaccination availability in the next phase of our country’s COVID-19 response.

Eligibility for the People’s Choice Stevie® Award

As a result of their 2020 Silver Stevie® Award win, the CivicPlus Technical Support Team is also eligible for recognition in the 2021 edition of the People’s Choice Stevie® Award for Favorite Customer Service Team. Winners of the crystal People’s Choice Stevie® Awards and all other winners will be celebrated during a virtual awards ceremony on April 14.
