Windsor Collaborates with CivicPlus to Ensure Inclusive Digital Access for All Residents

Ensuring web accessibility across state and local government is a fundamental component of not only good governance but also the building and maintaining of public trust between residents and their local governments. Residents depend on access and transparency from state and local governments for essential services and civic information, making it critical that government websites are usable and accessible for all. Accessibility is more than a compliance mandate; it is a reflection of the commitment to service for all residents.

In an interview with 9News Denver, Windsor’s Digital Services Administrator, Rece Lampe, shared how the town is working with CivicPlus® to meet Colorado’s state compliance deadline of July 1, 2025. This includes implementing accessibility updates to the town’s website to ensure it is inclusive and usable for all residents.

Colorado enacted its web accessibility directive to ensure that its government services are accessible and inclusive. With the deadline fast approaching, local governments across the state must act quickly to ensure their digital services comply with state law by July 1.

As state deadlines emerge, it is critical that local governments create accessible and inclusive digital services for all residents. Get a free web accessibility scan to see where your website currently stands.
