CivicPlus has announced it has acquired SeeClickFix, the proven leader of 311 citizen request and work management software solutions. The software helps millions of citizens request repairs in their community from their local government through its web and mobile application tools. With this acquisition, SeeClickFix will become part of CivicPlus’ integrated suite of municipal software solutions.
CivicPlus’ acquisition SeeClickFix represents the combination of two impact-focused, customer-oriented organizations committed exclusively to the needs of local government. CivicPlus and SeeClickFix share a history as founder-led organizations at a time that has seen a number of software companies being acquired by private equity investors.
According to Ward Morgan, founder and majority owner of CivicPlus, finding a partner that shares CivicPlus’ commitment to innovation in the public sector and its platform-centric philosophy was essential.
“At CivicPlus, we are committed to helping local governments work better and engage their citizens through easy-to-use, multi-channel solutions,” said Morgan. “In SeeClickFix, we see a like-minded partner that is equally committed to helping people and governments build more transparent, collaborative, and engaged communities. Together, we can only become stronger, more efficient, and better equipped for delivering innovative technology to the public sector.”
SeeClickFix will join the latest in a growing list of integrated solutions designed for local governments. With SeeClickFix’s work order management solution, CivicPlus plus will provide local governments with the most robust and comprehensive citizen request management system on the market.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with CivicPlus, an entity that shares our passion for rapid innovation and a continual focus on developing new solutions to address the evolving needs of local governments,” said Ben Berkowitz, SeeClickFix Chief Executive Officer. “We know that CivicPlus and SeeClickFix hear the same needs in the marketplace for modern, mobile, easy-to-use technology that helps local governments work more efficiently. Now, we can solve those needs faster and more efficiently. I could not be more excited about the future of our combined organization, and what we will create next, together.”
