Big Changes Are Coming to Digital Accessibility in Government.

Starting in 2026, new federal rules will require state and local governments to make their websites, apps, and digital content—including social media—fully accessible to people with disabilities. These updates are part of the ADA and will follow the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Larger agencies need to be compliant by April 2026, while smaller ones have until April 2027.

This is a major shift in how public sector teams communicate online. If your agency shares information through social media, now’s the time to prepare. In this webinar, we’ll break down what’s changing, what it means for your digital strategy, and how to get ahead of the curve.

Join us as Emily guides us through this training. We will cover:

  • New federal laws
  • How to be compliant with your social media to meet these new laws
  • How to make your social media posts and content accessible
  • Why it’s important to have accessible content
  • How to use accessibility features within major social media platforms
