CivicPlus, the nation’s leader in civic experience technology, has launched a comprehensive solution suite that offers end-to-end documentation, workflow management, and public engagement functionality for code enforcement officers, public works directors, community development managers, fire marshals, and other local government leaders. Local governments can manage processes related to permitting, planning, zoning, business licensing, code enforcement, and fire and life safety inspections through one interface. The solution is available as a stand-alone purchase for local governments of any size or in tandem with any other CivicPlus technology implementation.

According to CivicPlus Managing Director for the new solution, Brian Gilday, CivicPlus’ new comprehensive planning, permitting, and licensing technology is the ideal addition to the company’s growing, integrated technology platform.

“CivicPlus’ mission is to help make local government work better,” said Gilday. “We have led the market in municipal websitesagenda and meeting management, and citizen relationship management. With the addition of Municode Codification last year, our platform is unmatched in its ability to empower local governments to govern and serve efficiently. We realized, however, that we weren’t doing enough to support code enforcement officers, permitting directors, and public works leaders with permitting, licensing, and related document management and public engagement workflows. So, we designed a system to fill that gap, and it’s now the most comprehensive offering on the market.”

CivicPlus’ Civic Experience Platform also includes technology solutions for mass notificationsemployee management, and recreation management. Gilday adds that the Community Development solution will eventually integrate seamlessly with CivicPlus’ most widely adopted solutions, including its website content management systems, agenda and meeting management systems, and online code hosting.

“There’s no going back to paper-based processes,” said Gilday. “Residents want to interact with their local leaders digitally, and busy department leaders need online tools to collect, store, and route inspection, code enforcement, and permit information obtained in the field by contractors and other experts. With our new software, we’re giving them control, convenience, and hours back in their week.”
